Small-batch botanical apothecary
Luxurious plant-infused balms crafted with carefully selected botanicals, rich oils, and time-honored herbal inspiration.
Infused 4–6 weeks · Poured by hand · Amber glass
Each botanical rests in oil for weeks, never rushed with heat.
Poured, capped, and labelled by hand, jar by jar.
Plant-infused oils, botanicals, and wax. Nothing ornamental.
Amber glass shields the salve from light exposure.
We make what the harvest and the infusion allow.
The collection
Four blends, each built on oils that have spent weeks drawing character from the botanicals resting in them.
A rich, all-purpose botanical balm built on slow-infused plant oils and a grounding aromatic profile.
A resinous forest blend of pine needles, frankincense and earthy plant notes over avocado and olive oil.
A gentle blend of chamomile, plantain and clover for dry-feeling or delicate areas.
A luxurious geranium and frankincense blend for skin that looks soft, supple and luminous.
Our story
Veritabalm began in a home kitchen with a row of jars on a windowsill and a question worth asking slowly: what happens to an oil when you simply leave the plants in it long enough?
The answer took four to six weeks, and it changed everything about how we make. We do not force an infusion with heat, and we do not scale a batch beyond what one pair of hands can tend. Every jar is poured from an oil we watched deepen in colour over weeks, blended with wax into a balm that melts at the touch of a fingertip.
What we sell is time, held in amber glass.
The process
Our botanicals are slowly infused in olive or avocado oil for 4 to 6 weeks, allowing time to draw out the character of each plant before blending into rich, skin-loving salves.
Botanicals are selected whole and dried carefully, so no moisture is carried into the oil.
Plants rest in olive or avocado oil for four to six weeks, turned by hand, kept away from light.
The oil is strained slowly through cloth and left to settle before anything else is added.
Warmed with wax and vitamin E, then poured into amber glass while still liquid.
The botanical library
Myrrh, frankincense, plantain, patchouli, chamomile, pine needles, geranium, clover, Prunella vulgaris, vitamin E, castor oil, olive oil, and avocado oil. Each one is chosen for its aromatic and cosmetic character and for its place in long-standing herbal traditions.
Packaging
Light is unkind to an infused oil. Amber glass filters much of it, which is why every Veritabalm salve is poured into a brown glass jar with a lined lid rather than clear glass or plastic. It is heavier to ship and costlier to buy, and it is worth both.
Filters light that would otherwise reach the oils inside.
Seals firmly so the balm stays as it was poured.
Wash the jar when it is empty and give it a second life.
The batch letter
